This less-known hike departs from the Sacred Valley
of the Incas to enter a route where amazing mountain
scenery, glacier lagoons, valley cloud-forest and
authentic textile Quechua communities are combined
to finally reach the village of Lares, where you
can end the trek by relaxing in its famous hot springs.
A unique hike to get in touch with Andean people
and learn about their traditions and life-style.

Itinerary
Day 1:
Cusco - Huaran - Cancha Cancha
After the breakfst in the hotel we will pick
up you to your Hotel to transfer to the Bus
station, at 6:00am will be departure from
Cusco to Huarán (2840m), where will
start our trekking. On this first day we will
climb up for about 5 hours, will start in
a valley with lush vegetation and will take
us to our first campsite in Cancha Cancha,
a small farming community in the middle of
a spectacular mountain scenery. We will have
lunch along the way. after lunch we will continue
to our Hiking up to Cancha Cancha, arriving
around 3:00pm. Overnight Camping at (3900masl). |

Day 2: Cancha Cancha
- Kishuarani
After the breakfast in Cancha Cancha we will
start climb up around 7:30 am, after climb
up for about 3 hours we will get the first
pass the named Abra de Pachacutec (4458m),
from here we will enjoy the nice views of
glacier lagoons and the surrounding valleys.
Along the hike, we will also have spectacular
views of the snow-capped mountains in the
area, such as Colquecruz, Minas and Sirijuani.
after the pass We will have lunch enjoying
the splendid views, after lunch we will go
down to Quiswarani, a small peasant and textile
community where we will set up our second
campsite. Overnight at (3700m). |
Day 3:
Kisuarani - Cuncani
After the breakfast in Quiswarani we will
leave at around 7:30am, we will walking
passing along the beautiful Queuñaqocha
lagoon, after hiking 2 hours aproximately
we will get the second mountain pass, the
Abra de Willkiccasa (4100m), with absolutely
impressive views at both sides of the pass,
especially of the Colquecruz and Pitusiray
mountains. In the afternoon we will continue
on the trail along changing puna, lakes
and agricultural areas, after walking 3
hours we will arriving to Cuncani. Overnight
camping at (3800m). |

Day 4: Cuncari - Lares
- Ollantaytambo
After the breakfast in Cuncani at 7:00am
we will start descend to Lares Valleys for
about 3 hours approximately, where we will
enjoy the splendid panoramic long the way,
after arrive to Lares we will enjoy the
Hot sprongs and inmediatly lunch, then we
will continue to Ollantaytambo for about
3 hours more, arriving around 3:00pm. Overnigh
in the local hostel. |
Day 5:
Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes - Machupicchu
- Cusco
After the breakfast in Ollantaytambo at
8:30am we will take Train to Aguas Calientes,the
will take for about 2 hours half, then we
will take a bus to archeological of Machupicchu
for about 40 minutes, after arrive you will
visit the ruins with Guide help for about
2 hours, then you will have a free minutes
to visit the Wayna Picchu and Inka bridge,
after that we will go down to Aguas Calientes
to take the Train to Cusco. Arriving to
Cusco around 8:30pm. transfer to your selected
Hotel. |
